The Old School House – Newbury
Simon Foote Architects have been appointed to introduce a new single storey extension to a former schoolhouse in Berkshire. The new structure uses an oak timber frame and opens out to make the most of the surrounding views. It replaces an existing single storey garage and garden room to adjoin the main property via a linear walkway. This addition will make all of the rooms usable throughout the year, creating a cohesive flow from the house to outbuilding and garden areas for this young family to grow into over the coming years.
