Let’s get the ball rolling. Get in touch with the various methods below:
After your initial enquiry, we typically arrange a site visit. This is an important step for both parties as it allows for:
If you own the property or land this initial site visit is free of charge.
Once we have agreed on a brief, we begin working on your project. behind the scenes, we start all our background research etc..
Our process consists of 1 to 6 stages, from concept and initial drawings, through planning and right through the construction stage.
In this initial stage, our focus is on laying the groundwork for your project and conducting comprehensive background research to ensure a successful design process.Read More
First, we’ll define and review your project brief to establish a solid foundation for progress.
Assessing planning policies ensures our design compliance. If required, We will draft comprehensive statements supporting project feasibility and intent.
We’ll collaborate to choose the right planning application and develop a strategic approach for the submission.
For project success, we’ll discuss and align construction methods and materials with your vision, budget, and sustainability goals.
Arranging and conducting thorough site surveys will be a priority. This process helps us gather accurate data about the existing conditions and aids in making informed design decisions.
As required, we’ll create precise 3D models and 2D drawings for the site and existing structures, offering valuable insights and a starting point for development.
Given each location’s uniqueness, we’ll meticulously review site constraints and identify legal requirements, advising on essential reports (Ecology, Heritage, Structural Surveys, etc.).
During this creative stage, we integrate your requirements, planning policies, and site constraints harmoniously into a working design.Read More
Together, we’ll establish a design path and create an initial sketch scheme to explore ideas, facilitating productive discussions and visualization for clients.
We’ll obtain quotes from previously identified consultants and arrange appointments to collaborate effectively.
We’ll finalize the concept design, ensuring alignment with other consultant reports and provided information.
If necessary, we’ll seek pre-application planning advice from the local authority, ensuring a smoother process moving forward.
In this stage, we finalize the design. If a planning application is needed, we prepare the necessary drawings for submission to the local planning authority. Alternatively, if the design follows ‘permitted development’ guidelines, we pursue a certificate of lawfulness before commencing on-site work.Read More
We’ll finalize the planning drawings and the design and access statement, ensuring they are ready for submission to the planning department.
All necessary information will be meticulously coordinated and uploaded, ensuring a comprehensive planning submission.
We’ll handle the completion of planning application forms, with the client responsible for paying the planning fee to the local authority.
We will provide you with CDM (construction, design, management) documentation that is relevant to your project and site. These Health and Safety regulations are in place to ensure the proper management of health and safety risks throughout your construction process.
This includes pre-construction information, a risk assessment and more.
With planning permission secured, we’ll advance the design information for the construction phase. While specific requirements vary, common elements are essential for most projects. Read more for the general requirements:Read More
We’ll confirm and agree on the necessary design work required for your project.
We’ll assess any planning conditions stated in the approval that must be discharged.
We’ll highlight key consultants required for the project, such as structural engineers, energy assessors, building control, and electrical engineers if they haven’t been appointed earlier.
We’ll undertake detailed working drawings that specify how the building should be constructed and coordinate the information from other consultants.
We’ll handle the submission of applications for building regulation compliance and discharge of planning conditions.
If applicable, we’ll submit the F10 form to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to comply with Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
By addressing these essential steps, we’ll progress the project efficiently and ensure it meets all necessary requirements for successful construction.
