The Old Forge Children’s Nursery

The Old Forge is a successful pre-school nursery business. The building has been renovated and upgraded over the years but needed rationalising and extending into the garden to create additional floor space to further improve the environment.

We have been granted planning permission to remodel and create a two-storey extension to the rear of the building into the garden as well as a single story extension spanning the whole rear elevation incorporating a balcony and additional play space. The ground floor has allowed an expansion of the baby room and the creation of a covered outdoor area to open up the space and link the inside to the forest school and wider garden areas creating more opportunities for integrated learning and play.

We have created a real wow-factor to the rear using large panels of glass and incorporating colour into the design to give the extension a vibrancy that the children will love interacting with and learning in. Work is due to commence in the New Year.
